Prepayment Online Vending Solutions is composed of three main components: the Online Vending System, Online Vending Clients, and the Hardware Security Module (HSM).
Serving as the core of the solution, the Online Vending System enables real-time token purchases. It generates HSM-encrypted tokens using the secure Standard Transfer Specification (STS) protocol and dispatches these tokens to the Online Vending Client.
This component is integral to ensuring the security of the token generation process, providing encryption in line with the STS protocol. In practice, when a customer buys a prepaid token from an Online Vending Client, they receive a secure token that can be entered into their prepaid meter, enabling them to use the purchased amount of electricity/water/gas units.
These clients are distributed nationwide and connect to the Online Vending System. When a customer initiates a purchase, the Online Vending Client requests a token from the Online Vending System. The system then creates the token and sends the data back to the client. The client, in turn, issues the token to the customer
